She treasured her family and proudly watched their accomplishments.
Alzheimer’s disease had affected Kathleen’s mother by the age of 78.
This journey was very personal and difficult. She lost the ability to
recall the golden memories she’d known so well.
We took care of her needs, guided by our instincts. She showed her
appreciation in a language not always spoken, but still understood– the
language of an Alzheimer’s patient.
Every patient of Alzheimer’s disease has a unique, wonderful life story
that becomes impossible to share even with family and friends. Those
who must endure it’s grasp, know there’s little you can do to help.
But Alzheimer’s disease hasn’t taken our memories. Grandma’s Alzheimer
Fund is our effort to bring comfort to local Alzheimer’s patients in
that language written of deeds and not words– as we remember with love
a special someone we knew as mom and grandma. |
